The Board of Directors of Standards and Quality Agency (ANOR) met in its nineteenth Ordinary Session on Thursday, June 28, 2018 from10 a.m. in Yaoundé chaired by Mr. MOHAMADOU BAYERO FADIL, Chairman of the Board.

Mr. BOOTO à NGON Charles, General Manager, read out the items on the agenda that centered on the examination and closure of the fiscal year 2017 and the adoption of the draft decree to comply with the organizational chart of Standards and Quality Agency (ANOR) in accordance with law NO 2017/010 on the general statute of public institutions.

In his opening word, the Chairman of the Board invited members of the Board to frank discussions. He said there was no subject considered a taboo so that at the end of the session ANOR could envisage the future with serenity in order to realize the vision of Head of State for Cameroon to become an emerging country by 2035.

After reading and adopting the minutes of the eighteenth Ordinary session of December 27, 2017, the members of the Board listen attentively to the reports on the budget implantation for fiscal year 2017 by the financial controller and the accounting officer.

The General Manager then presented the annual performance report for fiscal year 2017 and reasons for presenting the balance sheet. After examination, discussions and various contributions, the board finally adopted the balance sheet and financial statement for the fiscal year 2017.

Concerning the point relating to the compliance of the organizational chart of ANOR, the Board took note of the draft decree thereto developed by ANOR and validated by Technical tutelage Ministry. In this regard, a resolution was adopted mandating the General Manager to transmit the said draft to the Prime Minister’s office through the hierarchy: namely the Minister in charge of Mines, Industry and Technological Development, which is the Technically is the tutelage ministry for ANOR.

Before closing the session, the Chairman on behalf of the Board congratulated the General Manager for it brilliant election at the presidency of the African Regional Standardization Organization (ARSO). In addition, the members of the Board expressed their gratitude to all those who contributed in any way to the successful outcome of this process.

At the end of the session, the President on behalf of the members of the Board conveyed his satisfaction and appreciation to the Directorate General for the quality of the documents presented.
